Zoning Districts Established

(a)In order to carry out the intent and purpose of this ULDC, the City of Gainesville is divided into the following districts as established on the Official Zoning Map:

Residential Districts R-I-A Low-density Residential R-I Residential I N-C Neighborhood Conservation R-II Residential II R-O Residential and Office Nonresidential Districts O-I Office and Institutional N-B Neighborhood Business C-B Central Business R-B Regional Business G-B General Business L-I Light Industrial H-I Heavy Industrial Flexible Districts PUD Planned Unit Development Special and Overlay Districts Airport Overlay Gateway Corridor Overlay North Oconee Water Supply Watershed Protection Overlay Groundwater Recharge Area Protection Overlay Wetland Protection Overlay Midland Overlay Historic Preservation Overlay

Transition from Previous Districts

Upon adoption of this ULDC, land which is presently zoned within an existing zoning classification which has changed names as set forth above will be reclassified to the applicable new zoning classifications. The boundaries for renamed zoning districts and the conditions of each zoning district will remain the same unless amended in the future in accordance with Chapter 18-2.
