Article 3 — General Provisions, Chapter 3-1 — GENERAL PROVISIONS
§ 3-1-1
Every Use Must Be Upon a Lot of Record
No building or structure shall be erected or use established unless upon a lot of record as defined by this ULDC unless specifically provided otherwise in this ULDC.
§ 3-1-2
One Single-family Dwelling Per Lot of Record
Only one detached, single-family dwelling unit under fee-simple ownership shall be permitted on a single lot of record, except as otherwise permitted by this ULDC. This Section shall not be construed to prevent the location of more than one detached single-family dwelling under condominium ownership on a single lot of record, where permitted, or the location of more than one non-residential building on a single lot of record.
§ 3-1-3
General Architectural Standards
(a)When more than one building is constructed on a development site or within a planned development, all buildings shall reflect a consistent architectural style and create a cohesive visual relationship between the buildings.
(b)The following types of external building materials are prohibited: highly reflective, shiny, or mirror-like materials; mill-finish (non-colored) aluminum metal windows or door frames; exposed, unfinished walls; exposed plywood or particle board; and non-plastered, exposed concrete masonry blocks. This provision applies to accessory buildings and structures, including signs.
(c)Buildings with all-metal siding shall not be permitted except in industrial zoning districts.
